HP ProBook 450 G8 15.6 inch laptop

This HP ProBook 450 G8 is a 15.6 inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-1135G7 quad-core processor. It ships with 8GB DDR4 memory and a 256GB solid state drive. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed. A laptop bag is included in the bundle.

Suited for office work and study.

The configuration suits professionals, students and home users who need a reliable machine for documents, web apps and video calls. The integrated graphics and 8GB memory limit performance in demanding creative workloads or modern gaming. Buyers who need more storage or discrete graphics should look at other configurations.

8GB DDR4 soldered memory

The system provides 8GB of DDR4 memory. This capacity handles typical multitasking and business applications. The memory is not user-upgradeable, so the installed amount is fixed for the life of the device. Consider this constraint if your workflow regularly exceeds 8GB.

Questions about this item

What ports do I need on my external monitor to connect it to the HDMI output on this ProBook 450 G8?

The notebook provides a standard HDMI port, so any monitor with an HDMI input will accept the 1920 x 1080 signal directly.

Will my existing USB-A peripherals work with the three USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports on this laptop?

Yes, the three USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports are fully backward compatible with older USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices such as mice, keyboards and flash drives.

How can I confirm the integrated graphics are driving the 15.6" IPS panel at its native 1920 x 1080 resolution after setup?

Open Windows Display Settings; the resolution slider should show 1920 x 1080 as the recommended setting for the built-in display.
