Refurbished ProBook 850 G8 with i7-1165G7

This refurbished HP ProBook 850 G8 laptop runs on an Intel Core i7-1165G7 quad-core processor at 2.8GHz with 12MB L3 cache. It includes 32GB of memory and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The 15.6-inch non-touch display shows 1920 x 1080 resolution. Intel Iris Xe graphics use shared system memory. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed. The chassis is silver with Grade A cosmetic condition.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Business users needing a portable 15.6-inch workstation with quad-core performance, ample memory and fast NVMe storage will appreciate the Thunderbolt 4 ports and HDMI 2.0 output. Buyers who want a dedicated graphics card, a touchscreen display, or a larger SSD capacity should consider other models. The integrated graphics and fixed 32GB memory limit heavy creative workloads and future upgrades.

Deciding specification: 32GB memory and 1TB NVMe

The combination of 32GB system memory and a 1TB NVMe drive determines if this unit fits your workflow. This capacity handles heavy multitasking and large local datasets without bottlenecks. If your applications require more than 32GB RAM or multiple terabytes of high-speed storage, this configuration will not be sufficient. The soldered memory design prevents later expansion.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the Core i7-1165G7 get when the ProBook 850 G8 runs all day?

The quad-core i7-1165G7 has a 2.8 GHz base frequency and 12 MB L3 cache; under sustained load the thin-and-light chassis relies on its single fan, so expect audible airflow and warm palm-rest areas during long sessions.

Which cables or docks must I already own to use the two Thunderbolt 4 ports and HDMI 2.0 output?

You need Thunderbolt 4 or USB-C cables for the two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a standard HDMI cable for the HDMI 2.0 port; the laptop also includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports for legacy peripherals.

Will my older USB-A accessories and microSD cards work straight away with this 850 G8?

Yes — two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and a microSD card reader are built in, so existing USB-A drives, mice and microSD media connect without adapters.
