Compact business desktop for space-constrained

The HP ProDesk 600 G6 Mini pairs a six-core Intel Core i5-10500T processor with 8GB DDR4 memory and a 256GB NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed and activated. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives up to two DisplayPort outputs. Gigabit Ethernet is built in; Wi-Fi is not included.

35 W processor keeps thermals and noise low

The 35 W CPU runs cool in the small chassis, so fan noise stays modest during typical office workloads. Power draw remains modest under sustained multitasking. The external AC adapter matches the unit's low power envelope. No discrete graphics card means fewer heat sources inside the case.

Replaces tower PCs where desk space is at a premium

Buyers moving from a full-size desktop gain a far smaller footprint without losing six-core performance. The jump is worth it when VESA mounting behind a monitor or hiding the unit in a tight cubicle matters. Not suited for workloads needing discrete GPU power, more than two native display outputs, or internal expansion slots.

Questions about this item

How do I add more DDR4 memory to the ProDesk 600 G6 Mini, and which step is often missed?

Remove the bottom cover, insert the SO-DIMM at an angle until it clicks, then secure the retaining clips; the step often missed is pressing the module down firmly until both clips snap into place.

Which components in this mini desktop are most likely to need replacement after several years of daily use?

The 256 GB NVMe SSD and the 8 GB DDR4 SO-DIMM are the primary user-replaceable parts; the internal CMOS battery may also require replacement after extended service.

What thermal limit appears first when the i5-10500T runs sustained workloads in this 35 W chassis?

The processor will hit its 35 W power limit before reaching maximum turbo frequencies, causing clock speeds to settle at the base 2.30 GHz under continuous load.
