1U rack server with dual 12-core Xeon E5-2670v3 CPUs at 2.3GHz, 32GB DDR4, eight 2.5-inch SFF bays and B140i SATA RAID
Installed Memory Size 32GB
HDD None
This 1U rack server ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2670v3 processors, each providing twelve cores at 2.3GHz for a total of 24 physical cores and 48 threads. It includes 32GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory installed across 24 DIMM slots, with a maximum supported capacity of 3TB. The B140i controller provides software RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 for SATA drives only, and two hot-swap 500W redundant power supplies are fitted.
The dense 1U form factor and high core count make this platform suitable for virtualisation clusters, database nodes or compute-heavy workloads that benefit from 48 logical threads. Buyers who need hardware RAID acceleration, SAS RAID support or larger installed memory out of the box should evaluate other configurations. The eight 2.5-inch drive bays accept SATA media only with the included controller.
The storage controller implements RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 entirely in software and supports SATA drives exclusively. No hardware RAID offload or SAS RAID capability is present, so arrays rely on host CPU cycles. Confirm that your storage plan uses SATA media and that software RAID meets your performance and data-protection requirements before deploying this server.
