A 1U rack server with dual 460W redundant power supplies, Xeon E5-2620 V2 six-core processor, 16GB DDR3-1600 memory expandable to 384GB, Smart Array P420i controller with 512MB FBWC.
This 1U rack-mount server system ships new with a single Intel Xeon E5-2620 V2 processor running at 2.1 GHz base and 2.6 GHz maximum turbo frequency across six cores and twelve threads. It includes 16 GB of DDR3-1600 memory and a Smart Array P420i controller with 512 MB flash-backed write cache. Dual 460 W hot-plug redundant power supplies and six hot-plug redundant fans provide enterprise-grade resiliency. The chassis supports up to eight small-form-factor drive bays and is managed through the integrated iLO Management Engine Standard.
The server suits IT teams deploying virtualization hosts, database nodes or application tiers in space-constrained racks where dual power supplies and hot-plug fans reduce single points of failure. The integrated four-port 1 Gb Ethernet adapter meets standard connectivity needs without extra cards. Buyers who need local boot drives must supply their own storage because no hard drives are installed. Workloads demanding more than 384 GB of memory or a second processor socket will exceed this configuration's limits.
The single installed CPU and twelve DIMM slots support up to 384 GB of DDR3-1600 registered memory, making this the decisive specification for memory-heavy workloads. The system ships with two 8 GB modules installed, leaving room for expansion within the platform's architectural ceiling. Memory speed and generation are fixed by the processor's integrated memory controller, so all upgrades must match DDR3-1600. Exceeding the 384 GB limit requires a different server generation.

The system arrives without hard drives, cable management or an optical drive; you add up to eight SFF drives and any mounting hardware you need.
This unit has one 2.1 GHz six-core Xeon with 15 MB L3 cache and a 2.6 GHz turbo; a second processor can be added later if the workload demands more threads.
Two 8 GB modules run at 1600 MT/s, giving 16 GB today and leaving DIMM slots free to reach the 384 GB maximum.
