The HP ProLiant DL380 G9 is a 2U rack server built around a single Intel Xeon E5-2643 v3 six-core processor running at 3.4 GHz. Storage interface limits and expansion

The H240ar controller supports 12 Gb SAS and 6 Gb SATA links with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. The chassis provides eight 2.5-inch SFF bays; two are occupied by the supplied drives. Optional universal media bay, NVME drive options or additional SFF cages can be added to the remaining bays, but no media drives or SSD are included in this configuration.

Installed memory capacity is the deciding factor
