Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR3 memory are installed across four modules, leaving twenty free DIMM slots for expansion up to 768GB. The chassis occupies two rack units and includes redundant 750W power supplies.

Storage-ready chassis with integrated RAID

Eight small-form-factor bays accept SAS or SATA drives but no drives are included. The Smart Array P420i controller with 1GB flash-backed write cache supports RAID 0, 1, 1+0, 5 and 5+0. A quad-port 1Gb Ethernet adapter and three PCIe slots provide networking and add-in card flexibility without consuming drive bays.

Sustained operation with N+1 cooling
