HP Sprocket Portable 2x3" Instant Photo Printer Black Noir

Pocket-sized photo printer for mobile users

The HP Sprocket is a compact, rechargeable photo printer small enough to fit in a pocket, purse or backpack. It connects via Bluetooth to iOS and Android smartphones or tablets, allowing instant printing without cables or a computer. The free companion app adds creative tools such as collages and filters for social media sharing. It is built for casual, on-the-go photo sharing rather than high-volume or professional output.

Zink paper capacity and print durability

Each print measures 2 x 3 inches on Zink Zero Ink paper, which uses heat-activated colour crystals instead of cartridges or toner. The paper packs are sold separately in small quantities, so the printer suits occasional use rather than bulk production. Finished photos are resistant to moisture, rips, tears and smudges, making them durable enough for wallets, scrapbooks or handing around at events. Heavy users will need to replenish paper frequently.

Bluetooth connectivity and app-dependent workflow

The printer relies entirely on a Bluetooth link to a mobile device running the HP Sprocket app; there is no USB, Wi-Fi Direct or memory-card input. Printing speed and queue management depend on the phone connection and app performance. Users who need direct PC printing, RAW file support or operation without a smartphone will find this workflow limiting. The interface is designed for simplicity, not advanced control.
