HP 10 mm Keyed Cable Lock

The HP T1A62UT is a keyed security cable designed for ultra-thin notebooks that accept a 10 mm lock slot. It targets professionals who need to tether devices to a fixed anchor in shared offices or high-traffic areas.

3.94 ft galvanised steel cable with 360° swivel

The 3.94 ft galvanised steel cable resists cutting attempts during sustained exposure in public spaces. A 360° swivel head prevents the cable from kinking or binding when the notebook is repositioned repeatedly throughout the day.

Master-keyed system with two included keys

The lock ships with two matching keys and supports a master-key hierarchy for IT-managed deployments. A low-profile 10 mm head fits slim chassis without blocking adjacent ports, while the steel construction withstands daily attachment and removal cycles.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 10 mm cable lock generate during all-day use?

The lock is a passive mechanical device with no electronic components, so it produces no heat and requires no power to operate continuously.

What must my notebook already have for the 10 mm lock to engage properly?

Your notebook needs a standard 10 mm Kensington-compatible security slot; the lock head inserts directly into that slot without any adapter.

Will the 360° swivel head clear the tighter chassis of an older ultra-thin notebook?

Yes, the 360° swivel design lets the cable rotate freely, reducing strain on the slot and accommodating the slim profile of older ultra-thin models.
