HP Victus 15.6" gaming laptop i5-13420H RTX 4050 16GB 512GB Black

15.6-inch 144 Hz gaming laptop

The HP Victus pairs a 15.6-inch FHD IPS panel at 144 Hz with an Intel Core i5-13420H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPU with 6 GB GDDR6 memory. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 RAM and a 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSD complete a configuration aimed at 1080p gaming and everyday multitasking. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

Ports and upgrades

A USB 3.2 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports with sleep-and-charge, HDMI 2.1, RJ-45 Ethernet and a 3.5 mm combo jack cover external displays and peripherals. The single M.2 slot and soldered memory mean storage can be swapped but RAM cannot be expanded after purchase. Driver updates for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 occasionally require a manual restart.

Sustained thermal behaviour

Under continuous load the 8-core CPU and dedicated GPU share a compact cooling solution that keeps clock speeds stable for extended sessions. Surface temperatures on the keyboard deck rise noticeably after thirty minutes, while fan noise remains audible but not intrusive. The 250-nit panel brightness is adequate indoors but limits outdoor visibility.
