HP Victus 15.6" Gaming Laptop

The HP Victus is a 15.6-inch gaming laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-13420H processor with 8 cores and 12 threads. It pairs the CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU featuring 6 GB GDDR6 dedicated video memory. The system runs Windows 11 Pro on 16 GB DDR4 RAM and a 512 GB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD.

FHD 144 Hz IPS Display Suitability

The 15.6-inch Full HD IPS panel runs at 144 Hz with a 9 ms response time and anti-glare coating, making it suitable for competitive gaming and fast-paced content. Buyers needing higher resolution, wider colour gamut than 45% NTSC, or touchscreen functionality should consider other models.

RTX 4050 6 GB GDDR6 Graphics Decider

The single specification that decides fit is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU with 6 GB GDDR6 memory. It targets 1080p gaming at high refresh rates; users requiring more VRAM for heavy creative workloads or higher-tier ray tracing performance need a different graphics tier.

Questions about this item

How long can the i5-13420H sustain its 4.6 GHz boost before thermals throttle it?

The processor runs at a 2.3 GHz base clock and can reach 4.6 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost, but the duration at peak speed depends on workload and the laptop's cooling capacity.

What are the fan noise and surface temperatures like during an all-day gaming session?

The chassis measures 14.15 x 9.25 x .90 inches and weighs 5.06 lb; sustained loads will raise keyboard deck and exhaust temperatures while fans spin up to manage the 45 W-class CPU and 6 GB GPU.

Which external monitor cables or docks work with the HDMI 2.1 and USB-C ports?

The HDMI 2.1 output supports 4K at high refresh rates, and the USB 3.2 Type-C port carries data and video, so most modern monitors and USB-C docks will connect directly.
