15.6-inch 144 Hz gaming laptop

The HP Victus 15.6-inch laptop pairs an Intel Core i5-13420H processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPU and 32GB of DDR4 memory. A 512GB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe M.2 SSD provides fast storage. The 1920 x 1080 IPS display runs at 144 Hz with a 9 ms response time. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

Sustained load behaviour

The i5-13420H uses four performance cores and four efficient cores to balance throughput and thermals during extended sessions. Turbo boost can lift clocks to 4.6 GHz when thermal headroom allows. The RTX 4050 with 6GB GDDR6 dedicated memory maintains frame rates in modern titles. The cooling system manages heat from both chips under continuous load.

Interface practical limits

The HDMI 2.1 port supports external displays at high refresh rates. USB 3.2 Type-C and two USB 3.0 Type-A ports handle peripherals and charging. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 provide wireless connectivity. The RJ-45 jack adds wired networking. A 720p webcam and combo audio jack complete the I/O.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the i5-13420H get during long gaming sessions?

The Intel Core i5-13420H runs at a 2.3 GHz base clock and can boost to 4.6 GHz across its 8 cores. The Victus chassis uses a dual-fan cooling system to manage heat from the CPU and the RTX 4050 GPU, keeping surface temperatures controlled during extended loads.

Which external monitor cable do I need for the HDMI 2.1 port?

The laptop includes one HDMI 2.1 output that supports 4K resolution at high refresh rates. A certified Ultra High Speed HDMI cable is required to use the full bandwidth of the port.

Can I keep using my older USB 3.0 Type-A peripherals?

Yes, the laptop provides two USB 3.0 Type-A ports with Sleep & Charge, so existing mice, keyboards and drives work without adapters.
