15.6-inch FHD 144 Hz gaming laptop

The HP Victus 15 is a 15.6-inch gaming laptop with a 1920x1080 IPS display running at 144 Hz. It is powered by a 13th Gen Intel 8-core i5-13420H processor with a 3.4 GHz base clock and up to 4.6 GHz boost. The system includes 16GB of DDR4 memory, a 1 TB SSD and a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU with 6 GB of video memory. Windows 11 Home comes pre-installed.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This laptop suits buyers who want a 144 Hz screen, 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 1 TB SSD in a 15.6-inch chassis. It provides HDMI 2.1, USB-C 3.2, two USB-A 3.2 ports and RJ-45 Ethernet for wired networking. Buyers needing more than 6 GB of GPU memory or a different port arrangement should consider other models.

Deciding specification — RTX 3050 6 GB GPU

The dedicated GeForce RTX 3050 with 6 GB of graphics memory is the specification that determines whether this laptop fits a given workload. It delivers discrete graphics performance for 1080p gaming and content-creation tasks that rely on dedicated video memory. If an application requires a larger GPU frame buffer or a different graphics architecture, this model will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

Will the HDMI 2.1 port drive an older 1080p monitor at 144Hz?

Yes, the HDMI 2.1 output can deliver 1080p at 144Hz to a compatible display. The laptop's own 15.6" panel is a 144Hz IPS screen, so the same rate is supported externally.

How can I confirm the RTX 3050 6GB is active after setup?

Open Device Manager and check Display adapters for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050. Run the NVIDIA control panel to verify the 6GB dedicated memory and driver version.

What cables and accessories ship in the box besides the laptop?

The box contains the 15.6" laptop, a power adapter, and documentation. No external mouse, monitor cable, or carrying case is included.
