AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS gaming laptop

This 15.6-inch Windows 11 Home laptop pairs a 6-core Ryzen 5 7535HS processor with 32GB of DDR5 4800MHz memory and a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD. The Radeon RX 6550M graphics card carries 4GB of GDDR6 video memory. It targets buyers who want a ready-to-play portable system with a 144Hz IPS panel and a full backlit keyboard.

Thermals and noise at 144Hz

The 144Hz IPS display runs at 250 nits with a 9ms response time and 178-degree viewing angles. Integrated Intel Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 handle wireless connectivity while a wired RJ45 port is also present. Under typical mixed workloads the cooling system manages heat from the 3.3GHz base and 4.55GHz boost processor without excessive fan noise, drawing power from a 3-cell Li-ion polymer battery.

Sustained load behaviour

During extended sessions the hexa-core CPU maintains its 12-thread throughput while the discrete Radeon GPU drives the 1920x1080 panel or external 4K monitors at 60Hz via HDMI 2.1 and USB-C DisplayPort 1.4. The 1TB NVMe SSD and dual-channel DDR5 memory keep data flowing so frame rates stay consistent rather than throttling after a short burst. Buyers who need more than 32GB of memory or a higher-wattage GPU should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I upgrade the RAM and which slot configuration does the 32GB DDR5 4800MHz kit use?

The laptop ships with 32GB DDR5 4800MHz installed as two 16GB modules occupying both SODIMM slots, so any future upgrade requires replacing the existing pair rather than adding a third stick.

What storage maintenance or replacement will the 1TB PCIe SSD need over time?

The 1TB PCIe SSD has no moving parts and requires no scheduled maintenance; replacement is only necessary if the drive fails or you need more capacity, at which point you would swap the M.2 module.

At what point does the 250-nit 144Hz IPS panel become the limiting factor during extended gaming sessions?

The 250-nit peak brightness and 45% NTSC colour coverage limit HDR impact and outdoor visibility first, while the 144Hz refresh rate and 9ms response time remain sufficient for the Radeon RX 6550M 4GB GDDR6 output.
