15.6-inch 144Hz gaming laptop

The HP Victus 15 pairs an Intel Core i5-13420H 8-core processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 6GB GDDR6 GPU, 16GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB PCIe SSD. A 15.6-inch FHD anti-glare display running at 144Hz delivers smooth visuals. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed. The chassis measures 14.09 x 10.04 x 0.93 inches and weighs 5.1 pounds.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This machine suits buyers who want a 144Hz panel and RTX 4050 graphics in a 15.6-inch form factor with 16GB DDR4 and 512GB PCIe storage. Users needing a higher colour gamut than 45% NTSC, a touchscreen, a fingerprint reader or more than 512GB of factory storage should consider other models.

Deciding specification: RTX 4050 6GB GDDR6

The discrete RTX 4050 with 6GB GDDR6 video memory is the single component that determines whether this laptop meets a given workload. It sets the ceiling for modern title performance and creative GPU acceleration. If the target applications demand more VRAM or a higher GPU tier, this unit will not be sufficient.

Questions about this item

What are the dimensions and weight of the HP Victus 15 chassis?

The laptop measures 14.09 x 10.04 x 0.93 inches and weighs 5.1 pounds.

How do I upgrade the RAM or SSD, and what is the common mistake?

The original seal is opened by engineers for upgrades; the common mistake is attempting this yourself and voiding the 1-year warranty on upgraded components.

When will the 512GB PCIe SSD or 16GB DDR4 memory need replacement?

Replace the SSD if capacity runs low or speeds drop; the 16GB DDR4 memory is soldered and cannot be swapped later.
