Raider 15.6 FHD 144Hz gaming laptop

This HP Victus 15 Raider model targets gamers and content creators who need a portable machine with a high-refresh display. The 15.6 inch FHD panel runs at 144 Hz and uses an anti-glare coating with thin bezels. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on the 4 TB PCIe SSD.

RTX 4050 6 GB GDDR6 graphics

The single specification that decides fit is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 laptop GPU with 6 GB GDDR6 video memory. It drives the internal 1920 x 1080 screen at up to 144 Hz and supports external monitors through the HDMI 2.1 port. No other GPU option exists for this configuration.

32 GB DDR4 memory and 4 TB storage headroom

The 32 GB DDR4 memory and 4 TB PCIe SSD provide ample headroom for modern titles, multitasking and large project files. Demanding AAA games at ultra settings may eventually exceed the 6 GB video memory buffer. The 8-core i5-13420H processor reaches 4.6 GHz turbo for compute-heavy workloads.

Questions about this item

What does the 4.6 GHz turbo frequency mean when the i5-13420H is inside this laptop?

The 8-core i5-13420H can lift up to 4.6 GHz on short bursts using Intel Turbo Boost, so single-thread tasks and game logic get a quick speed lift before thermals settle back to the 2.3 GHz base.

What does the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port actually cap at on this machine?

The single USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C runs at 10 Gbps and supports power-off charging, so fast external SSDs or phone charging work even when the lid is closed.

Will the 15.6 inch chassis fit in a standard 15 inch laptop sleeve?

At 14.09 by 10.04 by 0.93 inches and 5.1 pounds, the Victus 15 is slightly wider than a bare 15 inch screen, so check the sleeve’s internal width before buying.
