15.6 inch 144Hz gaming laptop

The HP Victus 15 Raider pairs a 15.6 inch FHD anti-glare panel at 144Hz with an Intel Core i5 13th Gen 8-core processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 6GB GDDR6 graphics. It ships with 64GB DDR5 memory and a 4TB PCIe SSD running Windows 11 Pro. A full-size backlit keyboard with numpad and MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 plus Bluetooth 5.3 complete the package.

Sustained load behaviour

The 8-core CPU mixes four Performance-Cores and four Efficient-Cores, reaching 4.6 GHz turbo while the 12 MB smart cache helps keep throughput steady during extended sessions. The 144Hz display and RTX 4050 6GB GDDR6 combine to maintain smooth frame pacing rather than short bursts. Thermal design across the 14.09 by 10.04 by .93 inch chassis supports continuous gaming and multitasking without throttling spikes.

4TB PCIe SSD capacity

A single 4TB PCIe SSD provides the primary storage pool for games, projects and the Windows 11 Pro plus Office 2024 license installation. No secondary drive is fitted, so total capacity is fixed at 4TB unless the drive is physically replaced. This figure alone determines whether the laptop can hold your working set without external storage.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the i5-13420H get during long sessions?

The 8-core i5-13420H runs at a 2.3 GHz base and can boost to 4.6 GHz. Under sustained load the cooling system manages heat from the CPU and the RTX 4050 6GB GDDR6 GPU, while fan speed ramps up to keep temperatures in check.

What peripherals do I need to start using the laptop?

The unit ships with Windows 11 Pro and an Office 2024 licence installed. A 720p webcam, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and a backlit keyboard are built in, so only a power outlet is required to begin working.

Can I connect my older 1080p display via the HDMI port?

Yes. The HDMI 2.1 output drives external monitors at 1920 x 1080 and higher resolutions, so an older 1080p screen will work without adapters.
