15.6-inch 144Hz gaming laptop

The HP Victus 15 in Raider Blue combines an Intel Core i5-12450H 8-core processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 4GB GDDR6 GPU. It ships with 64GB DDR4 memory and a 2TB PCIe SSD. Compatibility checklist

Verify that your external monitors support HDMI 2.1 if you need the full signalling rate from the single HDMI port. The laptop provides two USB Type-A ports and one USB Type-C port, all at 5Gbps signalling rate, plus an RJ-45 jack and a multi-format SD card reader. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are built in for wireless peripherals and networks.

Ideal user profile

Suits buyers who want a 15.6-inch 144Hz display, 64GB RAM and 2TB storage in a blue chassis without configuring parts themselves. The RTX 3050 4GB GDDR6 targets 1080p gaming and entry creative workloads. Users needing a higher-tier GPU, a fingerprint reader, or a different colour should consider other models.

Questions about this item

Will the HDMI port drive a 4K monitor at high refresh?

HDMI 2.1 supports 4K at 144Hz, so a fast external display will run at its native rate.

Can the 64GB of memory be expanded later?

The 64GB DDR4 fills the available slots, so no further RAM upgrades are possible.

Does the USB-C port support video out or charging?

The USB-C port runs at 5Gbps and handles data only; video and power go through HDMI and the barrel jack.
