Mobile workstation for creators

The HP ZBook Power G9 pairs a 14-core Intel Core i7-12800H running up to 4.8 GHz with an NVIDIA RTX A1000 GPU and 32 GB of DDR5-4800 memory. A 15.6-inch FHD IPS panel at 250 nits covers 45% NTSC for colour-critical tasks. Windows 11 Pro, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 complete the platform.

Suits CAD and ISV users; not for heavy GPU loads

Engineers and designers running certified ISV applications will find the certified RTX A1000 with 4 GB VRAM and the 24 MB cache CPU well matched. Buyers who need more graphics memory for large assemblies or real-time rendering should look at a higher-tier mobile workstation. The 256 GB SSD also limits local project storage without expansion.

32 GB DDR5 and 256 GB SSD headroom

The soldered 32 GB DDR5-4800 handles multi-app workflows and moderate simulation datasets without paging. The 256 GB SSD holds the OS and active projects but fills quickly with large model libraries or video sources. External storage or an internal upgrade becomes necessary for sustained heavy workloads.

Questions about this item

What power adapter is required to run the ZBook Power G9?

The laptop ships with its own AC adapter; no separate power brick purchase is needed.

Will the RTX A1000 GPU accelerate the same ISV-certified apps I use on my older Quadro card?

The RTX A1000 supports NVIDIA RTX enterprise drivers, so ISV-certified applications that ran on previous Quadro GPUs will run on this GPU.

How can I confirm the 32 GB of DDR5 memory is recognised at 4800 MT/s after first boot?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, click Memory and verify the speed reads 4800 MHz and the total shows 32 GB.
