The HPE 590647-B21 BLc Brocade 804 is an 8Gb Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter designed for HP BladeSystem c-Class enclosures. It provides a single-port 8Gb FC connection to storage area networks for blade servers. This new adapter carries part number 590647-B21 and model designation 804.

Suited for blade-server SAN links.

This card fits customers adding Fibre Channel connectivity to HP BladeSystem c-Class blades that attach to supported StorageWorks arrays. It will not install in standard rack-mount servers, PCIe expansion chassis, or non-HPE blade platforms because the BLc form factor and enclosure interconnect are proprietary.

Compatibility limited to listed StorageWorks arrays

The adapter is qualified only with HP StorageWorks P2000 G3 MSA FC/iSCSI Combo, P2000 G3 MSA FC, P2000 G3 SAS MSA, and Modular Smart Array 2300fc, 2300i, 2300sa controllers. Buyers connecting to other storage vendors, newer MSA generations, or direct-attached SAS targets must select a different HBA.
