HPE Refurbished
Refurbished 8-core Xeon E5-4620 processor upgrade for HP ProLiant DL560 Gen8 servers, 2.2 GHz base, 2.6 GHz turbo, 16 MB L3 cache, 95 W TDP
This refurbished HPE processor upgrade fits Socket R LGA-2011 platforms and delivers eight cores at a base clock of 2.20 GHz with a turbo frequency of 2.60 GHz. It is intended for administrators expanding compute capacity in compatible HP ProLiant DL560 Gen8 servers. The 95 W thermal design power and 1.4 V DC input voltage match the original system specifications.
The 16 MB shared L3 cache reduces latency for multi-threaded workloads such as virtualisation and database tasks. A QuickPath Interconnect speed of 7.20 GT/s and a 5 GT/s Direct Media Interface provide high-bandwidth links between the processor, memory and I/O subsystems. No additional accessories or software are included with this processor-only upgrade.
Manufactured on a 32 nm process, the chip measures 2.1 inches wide by 1.8 inches deep, aligning with the standard LGA-2011 package dimensions for direct drop-in installation. The LGA-2011 socket interface requires a compatible motherboard and cooler rated for 95 W. Buyers needing a different core count, socket type or newer microarchitecture cannot use this part.

The on-die caches are permanent silicon structures; they do not wear out or require replacement during the processor's service life.
The 95 W thermal design power is the primary sustained-use boundary; the socket and cooling must dissipate that heat continuously.
At full load the chip draws up to 95 W and releases equivalent heat; the server's cooling system must handle that continuous thermal output.
