Product identity

This is a HPE 781577-001 600 GB SAS hard drive in a 2.5 in form factor designed for enterprise servers and storage arrays. It suits IT professionals who need 12G SAS connectivity and 10K rotational speed for demanding workloads. The drive is sold as an OEM accessory without retail packaging. It is not for home PCs or consumer laptops that lack SAS controllers.

Bundled items

The listing includes the bare drive unit only with no cables brackets screws or software utilities supplied. Buyers must source a compatible SAS backplane or HBA and any required mounting hardware separately. No management software or firmware media is provided in the package. The absence of accessories means installation depends entirely on existing infrastructure.

Compatibility checks

Verify that the target system has a free 2.5 in drive bay with 12G SAS backplane support and an appropriate HBA or RAID controller. Confirm the chassis accepts the physical dimensions of a standard 2.5 in SAS drive. Ensure the operating environment meets enterprise temperature and vibration specifications. Check that the firmware revision matches the storage controller requirements before deployment.
