HPE 96W Smart Storage Battery

The HPE 815983-001 is a 96W smart storage battery equipped with a 145mm cable. It is designed to provide cache backup power for compatible HPE ProLiant DL, ML and SL servers. The module helps preserve data held in the controller cache during an unexpected power loss. This component is intended for IT administrators maintaining supported server infrastructure.

Suits DL, ML and SL server maintenance

This battery suits technicians who need a direct replacement cache backup unit for the listed HPE server families. It is not for users whose servers require a different cable length or connector type. Buyers without a compatible HPE Smart Array controller should look at other options. The part does not function as a general-purpose UPS or external power bank.
