Questions about this item

What speed does the 48-port Gigabit Ethernet interface actually cap at?

Each of the 48 ports negotiates 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps, so the practical ceiling is 1 Gbps per port.

What rack space and weight should I plan for when mounting this 1U switch?

The unit occupies 1U of rack height and weighs 4.5 kg, so allow a single rack unit and verify the shelf or rails support that mass.

How is the JL260A initially configured, and what step do installers often miss?

Connect a console cable to the management port, run the first-boot wizard to set an IP address, then save the running configuration; skipping the save loses the settings after reboot.
