1.8 TB enterprise hard drive with 10,000 RPM SAS interface for HPE MSA arrays
The HPE J9F49A is a 1.8TB SAS hard drive built for HPE MSA storage arrays. It targets IT teams expanding capacity in compatible MSA2 systems. The 2.5-inch small form factor fits dense enterprise enclosures. This component is not intended for home PC use.
The drive delivers 1.8TB of storage with a 10000 RPM spindle speed for transactional workloads. A 12G SAS interface provides bandwidth headroom for multi-drive arrays. The 512e sector format ensures compatibility with legacy applications. Workloads exceeding the 1.8TB limit will require additional drives.
Dual-port SAS connectivity enables multipath I/O for path redundancy and failover. The 2.5-inch enterprise chassis is manufactured in Thailand for data-centre deployment. Hot-plug capability supports drive replacement without system downtime. Single-path configurations lose the availability benefits of the dual-port design.

Yes, the J9F49A is designed for HPE MSA MSA2 systems and uses the same 12G SAS interface and 2.5-inch form factor as earlier 10K drives.
Check the HPE MSA management utility; it reports the drive model J9F49A, rotation speed of 10000 RPM, and a healthy SAS link status.
The drive ships as a bare 2.5-inch SFF unit; a compatible HPE MSA carrier must be purchased separately if your bay requires one.
