HPE JG326A QSFP+ InfiniBand Cable 3.28 ft

This HPE JG326A cable connects network devices over a 3.28 ft span using QSFP+ connectors on both ends. It is built for the HP FlexFabric 5900CP Switch Series and carries a black finish. The assembly ships new from the manufacturer.

Suits installers wiring HP FlexFabric 5900CP

Technicians linking equipment in the same rack or adjacent racks will find the length practical. Buyers who need longer reach between rows or across a data hall should look at other cable lengths. The fixed QSFP+ ends also mean it cannot be used with SFP+ or QSFP28 ports without a separate adapter.

The 3.28 ft length is the deciding spec

That measurement dictates whether the cable spans your rack-to-rack or intra-rack gap without slack or strain. If the distance between your QSFP+ ports exceeds 3.28 ft, this specific part will not reach and a longer cable is required.

Questions about this item

Does the 3.28 ft QSFP+ cable draw extra power or generate heat when run continuously?

The passive copper assembly has no active electronics, so it adds no measurable heat or power draw during all-day operation.

What ports must my equipment already have to use the JG326A cable?

Both ends require a QSFP+ receptacle, so each connected device needs an available QSFP+ port.

Will this cable work with the HP FlexFabric 5900CP switch series I already own?

Yes, the manufacturer lists the 5900CP series as a supported platform for this QSFP+ InfiniBand cable.
