A 1 RU switch with 24 1GbE RJ-45 ports, two 1/10GbE SFP+ uplinks, two 1/10GbE Base-T uplinks and a console port
The HPE JG960A 1950 occupies 1 RU and provides 24 x 10/100/1000 Base-T ports for wired endpoints. Two SFP+ and two 1/10GbE Base-T uplinks give flexible aggregation toward core switches or servers. A single RJ-45 console port supports direct management access. Internal fans and power supplies are included while rack mounts are not.
Under sustained traffic the 24 gigabit ports feed both SFP+ and copper 10GbE uplinks without oversubscribing a single interface type. Internal power supplies and fans run continuously to maintain temperature during long-duration loads. The console port remains available for out-of-band troubleshooting when the data plane is saturated.
The unit fits standard 19-inch racks at 1 RU height and uses internal fans that pull air from front to rear. Fixed internal power supplies remove the need for external bricks but require a free rack power outlet. Missing rack ears mean you must source mounting brackets separately before installation. Buyers needing pre-installed rails or redundant hot-swap power will need a different platform.

The 1950 switch uses internal fans and power supplies inside a 1 RU chassis; expect audible fan noise and measurable heat output during 24-hour operation.
You need RJ-45 Cat5e or better cables for the 24 Base-T ports and the 2 Base-T uplinks, plus SFP+ transceivers and fibre or DAC cables for the two SFP+ uplink ports.
Yes, each of the 24 ports auto-negotiates 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps, so older hardware links immediately at its highest supported speed.
