HPE Juniper Networking

HPE Juniper Networking EX4100-48T 48-port 10/100/1000BASE-T network switch 4x10GbE 4x25GbE

SKU CH-EC7D-5R79S MPN EX4100-48T

A 48-port 10/100/1000BASE-T switch with four 10GbE and four 25GbE uplinks, MACsec AES256 encryption, and redundant fans

  • 48 10/100/1000BASE-T ports for high-density access connectivity
  • Four 10 GbE uplinks provide fast aggregation links
  • Four 25 GbE ports enable high-speed stacking or uplink flexibility
  • MACsec AES256 encryption secures data on every port
  • Redundant fans and included 150 W power supply deliver resilient operation

48-port 1GbE access switch

The Juniper EX4100-48T provides forty-eight 10/100/1000BASE-T copper ports for wired endpoints. It is built for campus and branch networks that need cloud-managed operation through Mist AI. Redundant fans and an included 150 W AC power supply support continuous uptime in wiring closets.

Suited for AI-driven campus access

Organisations that want automated provisioning, flow-based telemetry and EVPN-VXLAN at the access layer will benefit. Buyers who require Power over Ethernet for phones or cameras must choose a PoE variant instead. Environments needing higher-density 25GbE server connectivity should evaluate dedicated data-centre platforms.

Four 25GbE stacking and uplink ports

The four 25GbE ports enable high-speed stacking or uplink aggregation without separate modules. This capacity determines whether the switch can collapse the distribution layer in a given design. The four 10GbE uplinks provide additional flexibility for existing 10G infrastructures.

Questions about this item

Do I need a separate power supply to run the EX4100-48T?

The switch ships with one JPSU-150-AC-AFO power supply included, so no extra unit is required for basic operation.

Can the 4x25GbE ports on this switch stack with older 10GbE uplinks on my existing switches?

The 25GbE ports operate at their native speed; they do not auto-negotiate down to 10GbE, so a direct stacking link to 10GbE ports will not come up.

How can I confirm the MACsec AES256 encryption is active on the 48 x 1GbE access ports after setup?

Use the CLI command "show macsec statistics" or check the Mist AI dashboard — both will report encrypted packet counts and active secure associations per port.
