HPE MSA 2060 SAS 2U 12-Bay LFF Enclosure

This enclosure provides twelve large form factor drive bays in a 2U rackmount chassis. It connects via SAS to an HPE MSA 2060 storage array for capacity expansion. The unit is designed for data centre environments that need high-density bulk storage. It ships new with a three-year limited warranty from the manufacturer.

Suits arrays needing 12-bay LFF expansion

The enclosure serves administrators extending an existing MSA 2060 system with additional large form factor drives. It does not operate as a standalone server or direct-attached JBOD without a supported MSA controller. Buyers requiring small form factor bays or a different rack height should consider other chassis options.

Questions about this item

Does the MSA 2060 2U enclosure ship with the 12 LFF drives installed or must they be purchased separately?

The R0Q39B is sold as an empty drive enclosure; the twelve large-form-factor bays accept SAS drives that are ordered separately.

Which drive type and interface should I select for the twelve bays in this MSA 2060 SAS enclosure?

Choose 3.5-inch SAS hard drives or SAS SSDs; the backplane supports SAS connectivity for all twelve LFF slots.
