SKU CH-NZTH-T65ZB

Managed 16-port 10G SFP+ Layer 3 switch with 480 Gbps routing capacity and 2.8 µs latency

  • 16 ports of 10 GbE SFP+ for high-density fibre uplinks
  • Layer 3 routing with OSPF and BGP for scalable network design
  • Sub-2 µs latency at 10 GbE for responsive applications
  • 480 Gbps switching capacity handles heavy traffic loads
  • Hot-plug internal power supply keeps the rack running during maintenance

16-port 10G SFP+ Layer 3 switch

The HPE Aruba 3810M JL075A is a managed, rack-mountable switch built for aggregation or core layers in campus and data-centre networks. Sixteen 10 Gigabit SFP+ ports provide dense fibre connectivity for servers, storage arrays and uplink trunks. It runs a full Layer 3 feature set including OSPF, BGP-4, RIP and static IPv4/IPv6 routing.

480 Gbps routing and switching capacity

The single figure that determines fit is the 480 Gbps routing/switching capacity combined with a 508 Gbps fabric speed. This bandwidth ceiling dictates how many 10 GbE flows can be forwarded simultaneously without congestion. Networks that exceed this aggregate throughput will need a higher-capacity chassis or additional aggregation switches.

Sustained load behaviour

At 64-byte packet size the switch delivers up to 285.7 Mpps wire-speed forwarding with latencies of 2.8 µs at 1 Gbps, 1.8 µs at 10 Gbps and 1.5 µs at 40 Gbps. Hot-plug internal power supplies and a removable fan tray keep the platform running during module replacement, so throughput remains stable during maintenance windows.
