A 2U rack server with one Xeon 4309Y 8-core processor, 32GB DDR4, eight SFF bays, and an 800W power supply
This HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Plus is a 2U rack server built for general-purpose workloads. It ships with a single Intel Xeon Silver 4309Y processor running at 2.8 GHz with eight cores and 12 MB of L3 cache. The system includes 32 GB of HPE DDR4 SmartMemory in a dual-rank configuration. It is suited for organisations that need a compact, enterprise-grade platform for virtualisation, databases or mixed applications.
The Broadcom MegaRAID MR416i-p controller provides x16 lanes with 4 GB cache and supports both NVMe and SAS 12G drives. A 96 W Smart Storage lithium-ion battery with a 145 mm cable backs the cache for data protection. Eight small form factor drive bays are available at the front, allowing a mix of solid-state and hard drives without occupying expansion slots. One 800 W Flex Slot Platinum hot-plug power supply delivers redundant-ready power in a low-halogen design.
Only one processor is installed in a two-socket chassis, so compute capacity can be doubled by adding a second compatible Xeon Scalable processor. The eight expansion slots remain open for additional networking, storage or accelerator cards. Buyers who need dual-processor performance out of the box should select a 2P configuration instead. Remote management is handled through HPE iLO Standard with intelligent provisioning and HPE OneView Standard.

The controller uses a x16 PCIe lane connection, capping its NVMe and SAS 12G throughput to the bandwidth of a sixteen-lane slot.
The chassis is 28.00 inches deep, so the rack must provide at least that much usable depth plus cable management space.
Plug the battery into the controller using the supplied 145 mm cable and secure the battery in its designated bracket before powering on the server.
