The HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen11 arrives as a complete tower system with a single Intel Xeon Silver 4510 processor, 12 cores at 2.4 GHz and 32 GB of DDR5 5600 memory. Two 8 TB SAS hard drives provide 16 TB of formatted capacity on an MR408i-o controller with 4 GB cache. A four-port 1 GbE Broadcom BCM5719 OCP adapter and dual 800 W hot-plug power supplies are factory-installed. The 4U chassis includes three hot-swap fans and UEFI Secure Boot with TPM 2.0 for platform integrity.

Bundled controller and networking

The MR408i-o storage controller occupies an OCP 3.0 slot and delivers hardware RAID with 4 GB write-back cache, removing the need for a separate RAID card. The BCM5719 quad-port 1 GbE adapter also uses an OCP 3.0 bay, leaving the remaining PCIe Gen5 slots free for additional I/O. Both components are integrated at build time so the server boots into a managed storage and network stack without extra configuration steps.

Pre-installation checklist

Verify that the 4U tower footprint of 23 by 12 by 38.75 inches fits the intended floor or rack space and that the 108 lb weight can be supported. Confirm the site provides two independent circuits for the redundant 800 W supplies and that cooling capacity matches the three hot-swap fans. Ensure any planned expansion cards are PCIe Gen5 compatible and that the OCP 3.0 slots remain available if further storage or networking modules are added later.
