HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen10 1U Server

This 1U rack server ships new with a rail kit for standard cabinet mounting. Dual Xeon Gold 6148 processors provide 40 total cores at 2.40 GHz with turbo up to 3.70 GHz. The system includes 256 GB of DDR4 memory and 7.68 TB of enterprise SATA SSD storage.

Suited for virtualisation and database workloads

Buyers needing hot-swap power redundancy and 10 Gb Ethernet management will find those features present. Organisations without rack infrastructure or in-house installation capability should consider alternatives because drives and memory arrive uninstalled.

Dual Xeon Gold 6148 20-core CPUs

The two processors deliver 20 cores each at 2.40 GHz base frequency with 27.5 MB cache per chip. This core count and clock speed determine whether the server matches the compute density required for the target workload.

Questions about this item

Do I need to install the 8 DDR4 modules and 4 SSDs myself before the server will boot?

Yes, the 256GB of DDR4 memory and the four 1.92TB SATA SSDs ship separately and must be installed before the system can start.

Will my existing 10Gb BASE-T cabling work with the Broadcom BCM57416 OCP3 adapter?

The dual-port 10Gb BASE-T controller uses standard twisted-pair copper, so your current Cat6a or better cabling will connect directly.

How can I confirm the P408i-a controller sees all four drives and the Smart Storage Battery is healthy?

Log into iLO 5, open the Smart Storage Administrator view and verify the array shows four 1.92TB drives with the battery status reported as OK.
