SKU CH-RNHM-P2ZQC

A 2U rack server with dual 12-core Xeon 4410y processors, 512GB DDR5 memory and 61.44TB of enterprise SATA SSD storage

  • Dual Xeon 4410y 12-core processors reach 3.90 GHz turbo for responsive compute
  • 512 GB DDR5-4800 ECC memory across 16 modules supports large virtualised workloads
  • 44 TB enterprise SATA SSD capacity in eight 7.68 TB drives stores extensive datasets
  • Redundant hot-swap power supplies keep the server running during a module replacement
  • iLO 6 remote management with Intelligent Provisioning simplifies deployment and monitoring

Server bundle for hybrid workloads

The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 2U rack server arrives as a complete bundle with dual Xeon Silver 4410y 12-Core 2.00 GHz processors, 512GB DDR5-4800MHz ECC buffered memory, and 61.44TB of enterprise SATA SSD storage. Windows Server 2022 Standard is included. It targets organisations running virtualised databases and mixed applications.

Upgrade path from older dual-socket platforms

The jump is worth it when current hardware cannot feed enough memory bandwidth or SSD capacity to the workload. Dual 12-core CPUs with 30MB cache each and 16 DIMM slots filled with DDR5 raise the ceiling for concurrent VMs. Eight 7.68TB drives deliver the raw space that smaller arrays cannot.

Installation notes and common pitfalls

Memory modules and drives ship separately and must be installed before first boot. The MR408i-o storage controller requires array configuration in its BIOS utility before the OS sees usable volumes. iLO 6 should be assigned a static IP and licensed early; skipping that step leaves remote management unavailable later.

Questions about this item

What rack height and mounting hardware does the DL380 Gen11 2U server need?

The server occupies 2U of rack space and the bundle includes a rail kit for installation.

How are the 16 DDR5 memory modules and 8 SATA SSDs installed, and what step is often missed?

Memory and drives ship separately and must be installed; the 16 modules fill all 16 DIMM slots for full bandwidth, and the 8 SSDs occupy the front hot-swap bays.

Which components will need replacement first in the HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11?

The dual redundant power supplies are hot-swappable for replacement without downtime, and the 8 enterprise SATA SSDs can be swapped individually as they age.
