Mini tower server for small business

The HPE ProLiant MicroServer Gen10 Plus is a mini tower chassis built for small business workloads. It ships new with an Intel Xeon E-2224 quad-core processor running at 3.4GHz with turbo up to 4.6GHz. The system includes 32GB of DDR4 memory and four 2TB SATA hard drives. Assembly of the memory and drives is required before use.

Four 3.5-inch drives in RAID

Storage capacity is determined by the four 3.5-inch 7.2K SATA drives totalling 8TB, managed by the HP Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 controller. The drives and memory modules are supplied separately and must be installed by the buyer. This configuration suits teams needing a single integrated file and application server.

Onboard quad-port 1GbE networking

The chassis provides four onboard 1GbE network ports for direct LAN connectivity without extra cards. A single power supply unit powers the entire system. Buyers who need redundant power supplies or higher-speed network interfaces should consider other platforms.

Questions about this item

How does the Xeon E-2224 3.4GHz quad-core processor perform under typical small-business workloads?

The four cores run at a 3.4GHz base clock and can boost to 4.6GHz, giving enough headroom for file sharing, light virtualization and database tasks without overheating the compact chassis.

What does the onboard quad-port 1GbE NIC actually limit in a real network?

Each port caps at 1Gbps, so total throughput is bounded by gigabit Ethernet; link aggregation can combine ports but will not exceed the 1GbE physical layer.

Will the four 3.5-inch drive bays accept the supplied 2TB 7.2K SATA disks without extra brackets?

Yes, the mini-tower chassis includes four native 3.5-inch bays that match the 3.5-inch form factor of the included 7.2K SATA drives.
