The adapter provides two Fibre Channel ports operating at 4 Gbit/s, with backward compatibility at 2 Gbit/s and 1 Gbit/s. Demanding databases or high-throughput video workloads will exceed the 4 Gbit/s ceiling and require faster adapters.
