HPE R0Q71A 12 TB SAS hard drive

This HPE R0Q71A is a 12 TB internal hard drive built for HPE MSA storage systems. It uses a 12Gb/s SAS interface and spins at 7200 rpm in a 3.5-inch form factor. The drive is sold new as a midline-class unit.

Suited for MSA arrays needing midline capacity

It fits administrators expanding an HPE MSA enclosure with 12 TB of 7.2K SAS storage. Buyers whose arrays require a different drive interface or form factor should look at other options. The part is qualified for the MSA platform only.

12Gb/s SAS interface determines compatibility

The single specification that decides fit is the 12Gb/s SAS interface. Your backplane and controller must support this exact standard for the drive to operate. Verify the interface requirement before ordering.
