Hubbell HBL430MI5W 30 A 600 V 3P4W Watertight Mechanical Interlock

Hubbell HBL430MI5W Watertight Interlock

The Hubbell HBL430MI5W is a watertight mechanical interlock rated at 30 A and 600 V in a 3P4W configuration. It combines a disconnect switch and receptacle in a single non-metallic enclosure that meets NEC requirements for motor disconnects within sight of the load. The unit accepts IEC 60309-2 plugs and prevents the switch from turning on until the plug is fully engaged. It also prevents plug removal until the switch is turned off.

Industrial Motor Circuits Requiring Lockout

This device suits installations that need a horsepower-rated disconnect with integrated receptacle for plug-and-play motor connections. It supports OSHA lockout/tagout procedures by allowing the plug to be removed and locked out for visual verification. Facilities running metallic conduit benefit from the non-metallic body that does not interrupt ground continuity. Sites that require fused protection or a different amperage rating should look at alternative configurations.

30 A 600 V 3P4W Rating

The 30 A, 600 V, 3P4W electrical rating determines whether this interlock matches the motor circuit specifications. Compatibility with IEC 60309-2 plugs ensures the correct pin-and-sleeve interface for watertight engagement. The mechanical interlock function enforces safe connection and disconnection sequence under load. Verify the circuit voltage, phase wiring and plug standard before selecting this unit.
