Hubbell HBL9432C 14-30P Angle Plug

This Hubbell HBL9432C is a 4-wire NEMA 14-30P straight-blade plug rated for 30 amps at 125/250V AC. It features an angled housing in black and white with screw-terminal connections for secure wiring. The unit accepts cable diameters from 0.625 in to 1.31 in and carries a 2 hp horsepower rating. It is supplied new and built to UL 94 HB flammability standards.

For 30A dryer or range connections

This plug suits installers wiring a 30-amp dryer, range or similar single-phase appliance where an angled 14-30P connector is required. The corrosion-resistant, IP20-rated housing works in standard indoor service. It will not serve buyers who need a straight-body plug, a higher amperage rating, a different NEMA configuration, three-phase power or an outdoor-rated enclosure.

14-30P NEMA configuration

The single specification that decides fit is the NEMA 14-30P blade pattern. The receptacle must match this exact 4-blade, 3-pole, grounded configuration rated for 125/250V AC. If the outlet shows a different NEMA code, this plug will not connect.

Questions about this item

What does the 30 A rating mean when the plug is wired into a 125/250 V circuit?

The 30 A rating is the maximum continuous current the plug can carry on a 125/250 V AC single-phase circuit with proper wiring and overcurrent protection.

How does the NEMA 14-30P configuration limit the voltages and phases this plug can be used with?

The 14-30P configuration provides three poles and four wires for 125/250 V AC single-phase service only; it will not fit 3-phase or other voltage receptacles.

What cable diameters can the cord clamp accept and how long is the plug body?

The clamp accepts cables from 0.625 in to 1.31 in diameter, and the plug body measures 5.300 in in length.
