Hubbell 1 in MNPT Dust Tight Grip

The Hubbell 073031210 is a straight dust tight cord connector built for industrial and commercial wiring. It accepts a single cable with an outside diameter between .73 in and .97 in and terminates in a 1 in MNPT box connection. The aluminum body and galvanized steel mesh strain relief are insulated and carry CSA and UL listings.

Mesh strain relief and insulated aluminum body

The external mesh grip extends 7 in from the connector body to distribute pulling force along the cable jacket. This reduces stress on the internal conductors and helps prevent damage at the termination point. The insulated aluminum construction provides corrosion resistance while maintaining electrical isolation at the box connection.

Check cable diameter and thread compatibility

Verify that your cable outer diameter falls within the .73 in to .97 in range before ordering. Confirm the enclosure or fitting provides a matching 1 in MNPT female thread for a proper seal. The connector is restricted from sale in certain states, so ensure local regulations permit its use in your installation.

Questions about this item

Will the mesh strain relief on the 073031210 need periodic replacement?

The galvanised steel mesh is built for long service and has no scheduled replacement interval.

What limits continuous use of this dust-tight connector?

The cord diameter range of .73 in to .97 in is the primary constraint; cables outside that range cannot be sealed.

Does the aluminium body run hot when the conduit carries power all day?

The aluminium housing and insulated design dissipate normal operating heat without noticeable temperature rise.
