Aluminium 90° Strain Relief Connector

This aluminium liquid-tight cord connector provides a 90-degree cable entry with a stainless-steel mesh grip. It accepts a single cord between .25 and .31 inch diameter and terminates in a 3/8 inch MNPT box connection. The body is silver aluminium and the external strain relief extends 2.75 inches from the connector.

Suited for tight-panel wiring needing strain relief

Installers routing a single flexible cord through a confined enclosure will appreciate the right-angle profile and mesh grip that resists pull-out. It is not intended for multi-cord entries, insulated-throat requirements or cord diameters outside the stated .25 to .31 inch range.

Cord diameter range .25 to .31 inch

The mesh strain relief only seals and grips reliably when the cord falls within this range; a larger cord will not enter the gland and a smaller one will not be held securely. Verify the cord outer diameter before specifying this connector.

Questions about this item

Will the 3/8 in MNPT box connection on this Hubbell 07401071 connector thread into the existing knockout on my older junction box?

Yes, the connector uses a standard 3/8 in MNPT thread that matches common knockouts on older metal or PVC junction boxes.

How can I confirm the liquid-tight seal is working after I tighten the 90-degree aluminum body onto a .25 in cable?

After tightening the gland nut, inspect the stainless-steel mesh grip and silver body; no moisture should appear at the cable entry or box threads when the circuit is energised.

Does the package include a locknut and sealing washer for the 3/8 in MNPT connection, or must I buy them separately?

The connector ships as a single 90-degree aluminum body with integrated mesh strain relief; a 3/8 in locknut and sealing washer are not included and must be purchased separately.
