Two-Gang Aluminum FD Box
The Hubbell Killark 2FD-2 is a two-gang FD device box made from aluminum with a gray finish. It provides a 47.0 cu in capacity for wiring devices in commercial or industrial conduit systems. The single 3/4 in hub accepts rigid or IMC conduit. Internal grounding screw and tapered threads are included.
3/4 Inch Hub Conduit Limit
The 3/4 in hub size restricts conduit entries to trade size 3/4 rigid metal or intermediate metal conduit. Larger conduit sizes cannot be used without a reducer, which is not supplied. The box depth of 2.0 in limits the bending radius for conductors entering through the hub. Tapered threads require proper engagement for a secure, grounded connection.
Surface Mount With .75 Inch Centers
Mounting holes are spaced .75 in on center for surface installation on flat structures. Aluminum construction reduces weight but requires care not to strip the tapped holes during installation. The internal grounding screw must be tightened to maintain continuity. Misaligned conduit runs can stress the hub threads and compromise the seal.

Questions about this item
Should I pick the 47.0 cu in aluminum FD box or a different capacity for my two-gang setup?
The 47.0 cu in capacity matches the two-gang FD design and the single 3/4 in hub, so it is the correct choice when you need that exact volume and hub size.
What does the 47.0 cu in capacity mean once the box is mounted in a wall?
It provides 47.0 cubic inches of internal wiring space, enough for conductors and devices in a two-gang FD configuration with a 2.0 in depth.
How does the 3/4 in hub with tapered threads limit what conduit I can run?
The 3/4 in tapered-thread hub accepts only 3/4 in conduit; the .75 in mounting-hole spacing fixes the box position relative to the framing.
