Industrial Disconnect Switch

The Hubbell SETL3 is a 30 A, 3PST disconnect switch rated for 600 V and 15 HP motor loads. It is built for maintenance and emergency stoppage in manufacturing, construction and energy production environments. The lever handle provides clear on-off operation for safety-critical circuits.

Heavy-Duty NEMA 12K Enclosure

A NEMA 12K and 3R rated gray enclosure protects the contacts from dust, water, corrosion and external ice formation. The heavy-duty construction suits demanding indoor and outdoor industrial settings. Compatibility with Safety-Shroud Twist-Lock receptacles ensures secure, locked connections.

Verify Voltage and Circuit Requirements

Confirm the supply voltage does not exceed 600 V and that the motor load stays within the 15 HP rating. Ensure the 3PST contact form matches the number of circuits you need to isolate. Buyers who require a different amperage, pole count or enclosure rating should select an alternative device.

Questions about this item

What does the 600 V rating cap in practice for this 30 A disconnect switch?

The 600 V rating sets the maximum voltage the switch can safely interrupt; at that voltage it handles up to 15 HP motor loads.

What enclosure clearance does the NEMA 12K and 3R rating require for mounting?

The NEMA 12K and 3R enclosure is rated for indoor dust, dripping water and external ice formation; mount on a flat vertical surface with clearance for the lever handle swing.

How is the lever-handle disconnect wired, and what step is often missed?

Wire line and load conductors to the three 3PST poles per the wiring diagram, then verify the handle locks in the OFF position before energising the circuit.
