Single-Channel Cable Protection

The Hubbell FT10Y3 is a one-channel cable protector designed to shield a single cable run up to 1-1/4 inches in diameter. Its yellow PVC construction provides high visibility for pedestrian areas and light-duty traffic zones. The smooth texture allows cables to be inserted or removed without snagging on the interior surface. It suits facilities needing a straightforward, ADA-compliant cover for temporary or semi-permanent cable routing.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The product carries no rated load capacity, so it is not intended for continuous heavy vehicle traffic or industrial rolling loads. Under sustained foot traffic or light cart use the PVC body maintains its shape and keeps the cable contained within the 1-1/4 inch high channel. Prolonged exposure to heavier weights will deform the protector and risk cable damage. Users should restrict deployment to pedestrian pathways and similar low-stress environments.

Build Quality and Daily Use

The yellow PVC material resists abrasion and common cleaning chemicals encountered in commercial settings. A 3-foot length with a 5-5/8 inch overall width covers standard doorway thresholds and walkway spans without excessive joints. The smooth, single-channel interior simplifies cable installation and routine inspections. ADA compliance confirms the profile meets accessibility requirements for public thoroughfares.
