A 15 A, 125 V GFCI duplex receptacle with tamper-resistant, weather-resistant nylon housing for flush mounting
The Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems GFRTW15BLK is a 15 A, 125 VAC ground-fault circuit-interrupter receptacle configured to NEMA 5-15R. It provides personnel protection for residential and light-commercial branch circuits where ground-fault detection is required by code. The tamper-resistant, weather-resistant duplex housing is moulded in black nylon for flush mounting.
Rated at 15 amperes continuous, the device handles general-purpose plug loads such as lighting, small appliances and portable tools on a single 15 A branch circuit. It trips on ground-fault currents above the Class A threshold, so it will not protect equipment that demands a higher trip level or circuits loaded beyond 15 A. The single-gang, two-pole, three-wire layout leaves no spare poles for additional circuits.
The straight-blade 5-15R configuration accepts only NEMA 5-15P plugs, limiting use to 125 V, 15 A equipment. The NEMA 1 enclosure rating means the receptacle is not suited for wet or corrosive locations without an additional weatherproof cover. No hazardous-location rating is provided, so it cannot be installed in classified areas.
