GFCI Receptacle 20A 125VAC

This GFCI receptacle provides ground-fault protection for 20-amp, 125-volt circuits in residential and light-commercial wiring. The duplex 5-20R configuration accepts both standard and 20-amp plugs for flexible device connections.

Capacity and headroom

Rated at 20 amps and 125 VAC, it handles typical branch-circuit loads such as kitchen countertop appliances, bathroom devices, and garage equipment. The single-gang, two-pole, three-wire design does not supply protection for multi-wire branch circuits or higher-voltage applications.

Tamper-resistant and weather-resistant housing

The nylon housing resists impact and UV exposure while the tamper-resistant shutters block insertion of foreign objects. No cover is included, so a suitable weatherproof or decorative cover plate must be sourced separately for the installation.

Questions about this item

Will the 20 A 5-20R duplex receptacle fit my existing flush-mounted box and 125 VAC wiring?

Yes, the device is a single-gang flush-mount duplex with straight-back wiring terminals for three conductors, matching standard 125 VAC branch circuits.

How can I confirm the GFCI protection is active after installation?

Press the built-in test button; power should disconnect, then press reset to restore power — the tamper-resistant shutters will also block single-object insertion.

Does the package include a cover plate and mounting screws, or must I buy them separately?

The receptacle ships with no cover plate; a standard 5-20R wall plate and mounting screws are purchased separately.
