Copper grounding busbar with sixteen quarter-inch holes across a ten-inch length, compliant with TIA-607 and UL
The Hubbell HBBB14210A is a solid copper grounding busbar designed for structured cabling installations. It provides a central bonding point for telecommunications grounding systems in data centres and commercial buildings. Installers use it to meet TIA-607 infrastructure requirements. The bar suits rack-mounted and wall-mounted grounding applications.
As a passive copper conductor the busbar generates no heat and operates silently. Its 1/4in thickness and 2in width give a large cross-section for fault-current handling without temperature rise. No power draw, fans or active cooling are involved. The component simply provides a low-impedance path to earth.
Sixteen 1/4in holes allow multiple lug connections without additional drilling. The pattern supports standard two-hole compression lugs used in telecommunications grounding. No ground wire or mounting hardware is included, so installers supply their own conductors and fasteners. UL listing and TIA-607 compliance simplify inspection approvals.

Secure the bar with 1/4 in hardware through the 16 holes; the step most installers miss is torquing each lug to the connector manufacturer's spec instead of guessing by feel.
Periodically check every connection for corrosion or loosening; the copper bar itself does not wear out, but any oxidized lugs or cracked insulators must be replaced to maintain TIA-607 compliance.
The 1/4 in thick copper cross-section reaches its thermal limit before the 16 mounting holes or the 2 in width become a constraint, so sustained current must stay within the conductor's ampacity rating.
