Hubbell HBL2350 Locking Receptacle

The Hubbell HBL2350 is a single-gang locking receptacle rated for 20 A at 600V AC. It features a straight L9-20R configuration with three-wire, two-pole wiring and screw-terminal connections. The nylon housing is black and mounts flush without a flange or cover.

Installers needing a 20 A 600V locking outlet

This device suits electrical contractors wiring industrial or commercial circuits that require a NEMA L9-20R locking interface. It is not for installations that require a protective cover, a flanged mounting style, shrouded contacts or an AFCI function.

NEMA L9-20R configuration

The receptacle carries a NEMA L9-20R configuration, which defines the blade geometry and voltage rating for the circuit. Matching this exact configuration to the plug and branch-circuit rating is the single specification that determines whether the part fits the application.

Questions about this item

Will the HBL2350 locking receptacle mate with my existing L9-20P plug on the older video rack?

Yes, the NEMA L9-20R configuration matches an L9-20P plug so the legacy cable locks directly into the receptacle.

How can I verify the HBL2350 is wired correctly after flush-mounting it in the panel?

With power off, confirm each screw terminal holds the correct conductor; then energise and measure 600 V AC across the two poles and continuity on the ground wire.

Does the HBL2350 package include a cover or mounting screws, or must I order them separately?

The receptacle ships without a cover; mounting screws and a compatible wall plate are not included and must be purchased separately.
