Watertight Flanged Locking Inlet 20 A

This Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems inlet supplies a 20 A locking connection for industrial power distribution. The gray thermoplastic housing resists impact in heavy-duty environments. It is built for installations that require a secure, weatherproof inlet.

Included Closure Cap and Visual Indicators

A closure cap seals the inlet when not in use to maintain the environmental rating. Alignment arrows and lock/unlock symbols give a clear visual check that the plug is fully engaged. These features reduce the risk of accidental disconnection or moisture ingress.

20 A Rating Decides Suitability

The 20 A rating is the single figure that determines whether this inlet matches the circuit load. Verify the amperage requirement before purchase. If the application demands a different current rating, this model will not meet the need.

Questions about this item

Will the closure cap need periodic replacement to keep the watertight seal intact?

The cap is included for an environmental seal when the inlet is not in use; inspect it during routine checks and replace if the gasket shows wear or cracking.

What is the first limit reached when this inlet runs continuously at its rated load?

The 20 A rating is the primary limit — sustained current above that will trip upstream protection or cause overheating.

Does the thermoplastic housing get hot or make noise during all-day operation?

The one-piece engineered thermoplastic housing is impact-resistant and has no moving parts, so it runs silently and stays at ambient temperature under normal load.
