Horizontal weatherproof cover for one-gang boxes

The Hubbell HBL5206WO is a cast-aluminium cover designed for horizontal mounting on FS or FD weatherproof boxes. It fits duplex, GFCI, surge and STYLE LINE receptacles in residential and light-commercial installations.

Self-closing lid limits exposure to moisture

A rubber gasket seals the opening when the lid shuts, meeting UL listing requirements for wet locations. The cover is restricted from sale in certain states, so buyers must verify local code acceptance before ordering.

Cast aluminium body with included mounting screws

The aluminium finish resists corrosion in outdoor environments. Supplied screws allow direct attachment to compatible boxes without additional hardware, simplifying installation for electricians and maintenance crews.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 1-gang horizontal cover or a different gang count for my box?

This cover is a single-gang horizontal design. Select it when your weatherproof box has one opening and you need the lid to hinge side-to-side.

What does the self-closing lid do once the cover is installed?

The spring-loaded lid shuts automatically after a plug is removed, keeping the rubber gasket seated and maintaining the weatherproof seal.

Is the cover UL Listed and what does that cover in practice?

Yes, it carries a UL Listing, meaning the cast-aluminium construction and gasket have been tested for outdoor wet-location use with duplex, GFCI, surge or Style Line devices.
